Getting Started
- Create an account: open Yo and sign in with your phone number. We'll send you a verification code.
- Set up your profile: add a display name, photo, and a short bio so others can recognize you.
- Discover activities: browse activities and posts near you, join the ones you like, or host your own.
- Join groups: find communities around your interests and connect with their members.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I reset or change my account?
You sign in with your phone number. To update your profile details, open the app and go to your profile settings. If you've lost access to your phone number, email us at support@yofriendsworld.com.
How do I manage notifications?
Open Settings → Notifications in the app to control which push and email notifications you receive. You can also manage permissions in your device's system settings.
How do I control my privacy?
When you create a post, you can choose who sees it (public, friends, or private) and exclude specific people or groups. You control location permission in your device settings.
Reporting Content & Blocking Users
We want Yo to be a safe and respectful community. If you see content or behavior that violates our guidelines:
- Report: use the report option available on posts, comments, activities, and profiles to flag objectionable content. Our team reviews reports and takes action.
- Block: open a user's profile and choose Block to stop all interaction with that person.
- Urgent concerns: email support@yofriendsworld.com and we will respond promptly.
Deleting Your Account
You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time:
- In the app: go to Settings → Account → Delete Account and follow the prompts.
- By email: if you can't access the app, email support@yofriendsworld.com from your registered contact and we'll process the deletion.
Deleting your account removes your profile and personal data. Some information may be retained as required by law or to resolve disputes, as described in our Privacy Policy.
